Projects and Tasks


Information Technology Coordinator
January '08 - Current

Although my title has stayed the same, my job responsibilities have changed drastically. I manage the servers, network, work with 3rd party vendors, project management, billing, in-house website, phones, and many other various IT related activities.


I was hired at Field Logic Inc. as an Information Technology Intern. After graduation I was offered a full time job as an I.T. Coordinator. Some of the projects assigned to me during my first years were:

Customer Service Database
  • Created a customer service database using Microsoft Access 2007.
  • Work directly with customer service personal to achieve goals and requirements.
  • Write SQL statements to help management acquire data of interest.

Network Map Diagram
  • Created a network diagram of the company buildings using Microsoft Visio 2008.
  • Includes labels of network ports, computers, offices, and personal.
  • Includes a breakdown of the network infrastructure.

Server Hierarchy
  • Created a folder hierarchy on a Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Implemented user permissions to the folder hierarchy.
  • Managed user and group listings on the server.

Campus Mobile Applications Project
Spring '08

This project was for my Information Technology Project Management Class (CIS 456). I was the project manager. We had to develop a project team, job descriptions, departments, for the this project from scratch.

Once the basis of our team was established, we then were asked to do a research project. Our project was a continuation of last years project. Last year the previous IT Project Management team researched mobile technologies for the use at the UWS campus. This year we are researching mobile applications.

For the project we had to define our scope, mission statement, work breakdown structure, project charter, network diagram, and create a well defined schedule. We created two departments within the project. Department of Scheduling, Risk, and Quality Management and the Department of Human Resources, Procurement, and Financial Manangement. In these departments we had to define a department mission statement, goals, and services and methodologies.

CIS Internship Program
I worked at RSI as a Help Desk Specialist from May '07 to May'08.

The internship was from January '07 - May '07.
I got accepted for a CIS IT Internship position at Residential Services Inc.
This is a list of a couple projects I was Assigned.

Laptop Preventive Maintenance
  • Lead and took charge of the laptop preventive maintenance program at RSI.
  • Do updates and system checks quarterly on all the laptops within RSI.

IT Inventory
  • Manually go to all the IT related equipment and label it with its corresponding ID#.
  • Helped keep track of equipment, the equipments history, and where the equipment is located.

Documentation
  • Write up "How To" documentation.
  • Incase the entire IT department blows up, there will be direction as to how the IT department works.

New Website
  • Gave input and observed the process of designing a new website for RSI.
  • I was hired for RSI towards the end of this project. So I wasn't involved directly in the upcoming decisions of the new website.
  • It was from this project I learned about CSS and Apache.

UWS Premed Club Website

August '07 - January '08
  • Creating and maintaining a website for the UWS premed club.
  • Current link is www.uwspremed.org
  • The website was shut down due to lack of club interest and reliability issues with UWS.

Charity Work

August '08 - Current

I'm volunteering and taking time to design and maintain a website for my church back in my home area. The name of the church is Heritage Trail Bible Church, and it is located in Gilbert, MN. The web address is www.heritagetrailbiblechurch.org. The site is up and running.
